Carly is a GSD/Malinois mix that came to us from Texas, where she and her three sisters were found abandoned at 6 months old. When they came into the rescue, they were terrified of anything and everything, but especially people. Two of the sisters have been adopted, and Carly is fostered with her sister, Liberty. Carly is now about 1 year old. In the foster home, Carly has made great progress building confidence and trust, and now joins the family on the couch for snuggles and pets and seeks out affection. She's become an expert hoarder of stuffies. She has a clumsy reputation and an endearing habit of falling off the couch. Carly's comfortable and playful with other dogs, and is working on proper play manners with her foster siblings. She's shown some prey drive toward the resident cat, would do best in an adoptive home without cats. Carly is crate trained and learning some basic cues. Carly needs a quiet home with patient adopters that can meet her where she is and build trust over time. She's most at ease with other dogs, and would do best in a home with at least 1-2 dogs in a pack dynamic. She'd be a perfect third dog.
