Carlee Italian Greyhound Mix Carlsbad, CA

Hello People.
I’m Carlee, a shy and very sweet Italian Greyhound mix of about two. My foster mom says I’m a little angel who is cuddly, playful and very sweet. Oh! and when I see you my entire body wiggles back and forth and I greet you with a huge smile on my face!

While I was once afraid, I am much more confident and am a very happy little girl now. (Dad says the emphasis is on both happy and little as I weigh only 10 pounds!) I have a doggy foster brother who likes to play – and when he doesn’t want to engage with me I can (and do) entertain myself. Mom says I’m really good at a game I made up called “Toss the Toy”. Not only do I throw it up in the air, I also catch it! It’s also really cute to watch me choose a toy from the toy box. I’m very deliberate about which one I want to play with. Mom says I’m very, very smart!

I have learned to walk on a leash, enjoy learning these things called ‘commands’ and eagerly wait to be praised for doing what’s expected. And I love to ride in the car. I just roll up into a little ball and go to sleep, enjoying the ride.

Because I’m still a bit shy, I take my time in new situations. Once I am comfortable, my true spirit comes out and you can see the happy loving pup Mom and Dad have helped me to become. They have taught me so many things! But the thing I like best is that they taught me how to snuggle. I curl up as close as I can so I’ll never be very far away from someone who will pet me. An outstretched hand is the perfect ‘invitation’! Boy oh boy oh boy, it doesn’t get any better than that!

Dad says that I’m housebroken, use the doggy door, rarely bark (even when the delivery people come to the door and my doggy foster brothers and sisters bark like crazy!) He also says I smile!

My Ideal Home:
*Someone home most of the time
*Another active, playful dog around my age
* Love to walk, go for rides and play
*A loving person or family

Experience level:
*Have had dogs previously
*Have done basic training with a pup
