Captain Shih Tzu Mix Calgary, AB

Hi there, my name is Captain, I am about 25 lbs and 5 years old. I am looking for a 'forever' home.

Captain is house-trained and good with other dogs and cats - he is not suited for a family with young children.

Captain loves to go for his walks and 2+ a day is optimal. They don’t need to be long… he just loves to get out and wander. I do not let him off leash.

There are a couple of things Captain has a hard time with:

One is being picked up. however when it comes to getting in the car to go to the dog park he is ok with it as long as you follow some guidelines which the foster mom will explain. We believe he was severely abused and can be unsure of being grabbed.

Two is being disturbed/interacted with when he is in his bed in the evening. Typically after supper he prefers to be left alone in his bed. If he wants attention he does come looking for it and is happy to receive it.

He seems to have some arthritis but he is CBD Oil which has helped his demeanor drastically.
