Canute is that rare personality, the linear thinker who takes his job seriously but is also an eager companion, always ready for adventure. When he gets ready for bed at night, Canute expertly fluffs his favorite blanket and curls up with a contented sigh.

Canute has lived all nine years of his life on a small farm with his canine life partner, Schwartz, who is also up for adoption. He's a good companion with other dogs and cats, and friendly with but not eager to be around livestock. He's never chased a chicken, but he does know a thing or two about chasing wild rabbits,

Canute loves meeting new people, young and old, and is content to live the simple life at the feet of his primary person(s).

Canute was rescued from a dog sanctuary in Mexico. His DNA results show he's mostly mixed but with significant portions of German Shepherd and Shar-Pei! Canute is in good health for his age, with a mild case of pannus which is easily treatable with eyedrops. which has strained his doggy ACL over the years. He's sometimes stiff when he first gets up but he gets around perfectly and isn't in any pain. Full medical records results available.
