Meet Canelo
Before reading the story of the dogs, this is to invite you to our upcoming public adoption event on Saturday August 13, 2022 at the PetSmart store in Fullerton starting at 01:00 PM. New rescue dogs will be available for adoption in addition to the dogs posted on our website. We will be serving people at the event based on a first-come first-serve basis. Attending the event early will help secure an opportunity for you to adopt. We are looking forward to assisting you at our adoption event.
Story of the dog:
Canelo and his siblings were rescued from Brawley, CA. They were rescued from a horse farm. One of our volunteer received a call from a family member in Brawley stating that a nearby farm has a lot of dog roaming inside. Our volunteer asked her friend to visit the farm and ask the owner if he needs any help placing any of the dogs on thee farm. The owner said that he would like to get help as the dogs keep multiplying on the property. The rescue then scheduled a meeting with the farm owner and a lot of dogs were brought from there. The owner said that he would like to keep the mom and dad. However, the rescue refused to take any of the dogs if the parents are not going to be spayed/neutered. Therefore, the owner left allowed the rescue to take his adult dogs and spay/neuter them. The rescue assisted the owner and all what he had to pay for is transportation.
Several puppies and other dogs were brought from Brawley, CA all the way to San Bernardino, CA for our fosters to take care of them.
During their stay at PetEmber, the puppies received up to date shots of vaccines, flea and tick medication, and deworming medication.
The puppies are ready for a forever home. They are energetic and playful. They are smart and fast to learn.
