Call Name: Candy--
Birth Date: October 18, 2007--
Color: Dark Silver Brindle with White Chest--
Pedigree: (CTW Legendary--CTW Frappacino).
Candy is a very beautiful dark silver brindle girl with enough white to make her stand out in a crowd. When you meet her, you will agree that she is even prettier than she is in her photos. Candy (whose real name is "Rock Candy") is tall and elegant, is in excellent condition, and is a really exceptional color. She is already home acclimated, walks very nicely on a leash, and rides fine in a car or SUV. She has lived in a home with a cat, but when we tried her in another home with a cat, she wanted to go after it, so it is probably best for Candy to go to a home without cats. Candy gets along very well with the other greyhounds in her foster home. We tried Candy in a home with children, and she was not tolerant of children who might come up to her while she is lying down or asleep, so we are recommending Candy for a home with no small children. She should do fine in a home with adults or teenage children. If you are interested in artificial lure coursing, Candy would be the dog for you. We took her to an event where there was an obstacle course and a lure for the dogs to follow. Candy loved it! She thought it was great fun, and really enjoyed it. Candy came to us from Palm Beach Kennel Club, where she competed in over 100 races, winning 16 times. Candy was considered to be an "A" racer, which means that she was among the fastest dogs at her track. She is very athletic, not just in winning races, but when we were loading the van from the back, Candy decided she was ready to go home as well, and jumped in right over the back seat! . All of the pups in Candy's litter had names starting with "Rock". Besides Rock Candy, there were Rock Steady, Rockport, Rockslide, and Rocky Road (makes me think of ice cream). Candy has had some treats in her foster home and is enjoying milk bones, jerky treats, cream cheese, peanut butter, and cheese.
Candy's $250 adoption fee includes her spay, teeth cleaning, all vaccines, Bordetella (to protect against kennel cough), microchip, leash and collar, adoption guide, grooming mitt, and stuffie toy.
