Calypso Terrier Mix Omaha, NE

Calypso is a spunky pup who is constantly discovering the joys of being a dog. She arrived to NALA Rescue on a transport from a shelter in Arkansas and is settling into a foster home. Calypso has an adorable scruffy look, with wire fur and white markings on her head, chest, and paws. Your guess for breed and full grown size is as good as ours as we do not know her parents.

She warms up quickly with snuggles and affection. Calypso’s favorite place is on the couch next to her humans. This girl LOVES dog toys of all kinds, particularly squeaky toys, stuffies, and chews. Caly works well with positive reinforcement training - she redirects easily and truly wants to please her people.

Calypso has been rocking potty training and has been catching on quickly to basic commands like "sit" and "come" (as long as you have a treat for her, of course). She is excelling at crate training and leash walking. As with all puppies, she will need a home that will provide patience and consistency to help her master these skills.

Calypso would adapt well to a home with or without another dog, cat, or children as she has enjoyed meeting other creatures of all sorts. She takes cues well from adult dogs in the home, plays well with other pups, and doesn't seem too interested in kitties. She can be a little vocal when playing with her canine / feline friends or if she hears a loud noise, but generally she settles quickly.

Calypso has had lots of exposure to pups and people at the Omaha Dog Bar.
