Meet Callie!

Her foster mom says:
"Callie is a beautiful 68 pound Kelpie/Husky mix born around 01/17/21. She is up to date on her shots, and Artemis is ensuring her heartworms will soon be a part of the past.
She is a happy girl who especially loves children of all sizes, people, and dogs of all sizes. Callie would do best in a home with no cats. Her foster mom has taken care to properly introduce anyone new to her, and Callie has always done great. Callie loves to socialize with dogs and people, play with toys, explore the backyard, enjoys hugs and rubs, words of praise, a good brushing and rarely turns down a treat. Bully Sticks are a favorite. She is crate and house-trained. She is doing well walking on a leash. She thoroughly enjoys the outside but was left on a chain outside indefinitely, so she likes knowing she can come back into the house to be a part of the family.
She loves her dog bed but still loves to cuddle up next to you and be your best girl. You'll fall in love with her playful howl that she uses to get your attention or show her happiness. Callie is the best girl and is so deserving to be treated as the "queen she is!"

Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue in Arkansas.

We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.

Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.

Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.

The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.
