Callie Australian Shepherd & Golden Retriever Mix Bethel, CT

Callie, a two-year-old, 45 lb. Australian Shepherd/Golden mix has spent her entire life being used for breeding before being dumped in a shelter. She has endured the trauma of having her babies taken away from her, but is now in a loving foster home in Connecticut ready to start her next chapter of life.

Considering all she has been through, Callie can be timid at first but once comfortable, she's an absolute love! She will roll over for belly rubs and will never say no to a good snuggle and nap. As she settles into her new foster home, she has started to play more, however will definitely require an adopter who understands decompression time and will take things slow. She has lived with other dogs, cats, children of all ages, and even chickens in her past and current foster home and does great with all. She would benefit from being a second pup as this would help to build her confidence so preference will be given to adopters with another dog. You must have a fenced yard to be considered for her adoption.

Her adoption fee is $350 and Callie comes up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and spayed. She has completed her heartworm treatment, however will need to have limited physical activity for the next two months.
