Hello, I'm Callie, a beautiful 8 year old red Lab. Through no fault of my own, I am looking for a new home. I am a very good girl, housebroken, and I have very good manners. I am not destructive but like a lot of labs, if food is left on the counter and it is something I love to eat I will try to reach for it.

I love to play with my ball and will play fetch for as long as you keep throwing the ball. They say my problem is I don't know when to stop...but why stop when you are having fun?!? You will have to make sure that I don't overdo since I am getting a little "up there." It's best to use a Chuckit when you throw the ball because sometimes I grab at the ball... so watch your fingers!

Taking walks is another of my favorite outside activities and I walk on the leash well. I have been known to bolt if I see a rabbit or skunk, but usually I leave the wildlife alone. I would love sleeping with you in your bedroom, but I don't sleep in your bed. I do not like crates but that is okay because I don't need to be crated when you aren' t home and I don't mind staying home alone for 5 or 6 hours. I love to eat tissues, so you should empty small garbage cans before you leave.

I don't mind cats or children, but I am not very friendly with other dogs. I would need to be in a single dog home. I would love a big fenced in yard but don't like being out doors by myself too long because I am a bit of a velcro dog. I want to be around you at all times.

At the beginning of my life I was training to be a therapy dog and I still remember commands like sit, stay, lay and gentle. My bark is deep and loud, especially when the doorbell rings but my bark is only for show; once the door opens and I see who is there I am all wags and wiggles. I have a lot of love to give and I would do well with an older family or a family with older children.
