Calia’s story began in the harshest of places but is heading somewhere beautiful. Her mom had been living on her own for nearly three years, wandering the reservation and surviving however she could. When rescuers finally reached her, she went into labor while waiting for transport — bringing twelve tiny lives into the world just in time. This time, things were different. Mom was finally safe, spayed, and free from the endless cycle of survival. And now her daughter, Calia, is ready to write her own happy ending.
Calia is a young female, under a year old, with a sleek short black coat that shines like satin and a gentle, curious expression that melts hearts. She’s a joyful mix of Husky, Shepherd, Lab, Cattle Dog, Boxer, and more — a true reservation special and a perfect blend of loyalty, smarts, and spirit.
When grown, Calia will likely be around 50–60 pounds — just right for long walks, outdoor fun, and cozy nights on the couch. She’s great with kids and other dogs, outgoing but thoughtful, playful yet easy to settle when it’s time to rest. Her vaccinations are up-to-date, and she’s ready to take on the world — one loving family at a time.
Calia’s ideal forever home will have:
• A secure six-foot fenced yard where she can safely run and explore.
• Someone home often to help her through puppyhood with patience and consistency.
