Meet Calamity

***FENCE REQUIRED***

Calamity is mismarked harl with piercing blue eyes. She’s playful and affectionate with humans, a good cuddler, wants constant attention, is totally Velcro, and is a bundle of energy and play. You see, Calamity fits her name... She is a wild child, always on the go.. and she can be very loud and bossy at play with other dogs. ****She would be best as an only dog**** Or a dane savvy home with another extremely submissive large breed who is willing to put up with her dominance and bossiness.

She absolutely needs slow introductions. And if she feels intimidated or threatened she gets more outwardly protective/dominant and loud.

We were told that Calamity is 2.5, but she honestly acts way younger than that. A total puppy. We think she's much younger than what the shelter told us. She plays like a puppy and has no concept that she's coming on way too dominant and hyperactive. But she's not actually trying to bite or hurt the other dog. She really just wants to play, but doesn't know how to properly.

She would do best in a home with very submissive playmate who will allow her to be rough and tumble and help wear her out. She WILL NOT do well in a house with a senior or any dog who doesn’t tolerate hyperactive well.. calamity is not the one for you.

Calamity came from a backyard breeding bust. She came in with three other Danes when we pulled them from north Florida shelter in January. None had ever lived inside a home, so she’s learning potty training for the first time at 2. She isn't great about telling her foster parents she needs to go out but as long as they make sure she goes out regularly then she goes outside. Only two accidents so far.

She’s actually been very trustworthy and not gotten into anything when her foster parents are gone for work, for hours on end. She is definitely a counter surfer with any food products, so don't leave anything edible out that you want to keep.. But she leaves the sofas and furniture alone when left alone.

Calamity is a world-class snuggler when she's ready for settling down. She LOVES to snuggle in with her foster daddy. LOVES TO SNUGGLE.

Calamity will not be a good fit for a family with cats, young kids, farm animals or other dominant dogs. She’s just too much. She will absolutely require a fenced in yard.

Calamity is now fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed and chipped. Her adoption fee is $400.
