Meet Calada Maine

1y 43 pound Calada, in Rumford Maine, is super sweet and just loves to cuddle. She follows her Foster Mom everywhere. She is housebroken and comes when she is called. She jumps up to put her front paws on you for attention, but she does it very gently. She does it ever so softly, but she is working on not jumping up and sitting on command. When treats are involved, she complies 100% - she is working very hard on her other commands as well.
Calada is good with other dogs, great in fact, (and children!), and loves to play. She also gets along well with cats, and eats well around other dogs as well as cats. Her food dish can be touched while she is eating and so can she - and she is non-reactive. She rides well in the car and rarely barks.
As you can see from her photo, she is a bright, beautiful, expressive, and loving girl.  (Please note that her foster mom is not adoptable w/ Calada unless you can adopt her and her own 2 dogs and cat as well:)

Please fill out an application http://zanisfurryfriends.org/applications.html and return via email to: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org Many of us (cats/dogs) will be at Petco on Lexington Ave ((bet 86th & 87th) on Sundays--please ask which dogs will be there ahead of time by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application by Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Please come! And if you can't adopt, you can always donate via paypal to: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org

Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, you can always donate!
