Say Hello to Cadence! He traveled all the way from South Carolina to find his family!
This 4 year old Yellow Lab/Golden Retriever mix is as sweet as he is handsome! Cadence is a mellow fellow that enjoys going for walks and does beautifully on a leash. He loves running around in a fenced in yard and playing with a ball. He's completely housebroken, knows how to sit, comes when called (most of the time), and knows how to shake.
Cadence is crate trained, but is also completely trustworthy when left alone in a sectioned off area. At night he sleeps quietly and soundly on a dog bed.
Cadence is timid at first, but warms up very quickly and then just wants to be loved! He's looking for someone to help him overcome his nervousness. Other dogs and loud noises (especially loud trucks on walks) are a little scary for him. When he's nervous, he will bark at the scary thing and then come stand close to you for reassurance.
Cadence will do best in a calm home with experienced dog owners and older children. He wants to be the only dog in your life so he can be the center of attention and soak up all the pets! He absolutely loves affection and being close to his people! Our shelter partner said he did well with their cat test, but we would want to do an introduction to make sure.
Cadence will be the best boy in the world for the right adopter. If you are willing to invest the love he needs, you will be so happy with this unbelievably sweet guy!

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally, if fencing is required it must be a physical fence and in place at time of home visit.
