MY AGE: approx. 4 years WEIGHT: approx. 33 lbs.
MY STORY: Buster has been in his foster for one week. He has quickly adapted to being in a home environment and has done great at settling into the daily patterns. Buster really loves being by people and likes to be close by. He's done well interacting with the resident dogs and has even gotten them to engage in some play time, especially after dinner. He likes to bring out all the toys from the bin and play fetch or spend some time munching on a rawhide. Buster gently takes treats from my hand and I haven't seen any food aggression and the food dishes are left out during the day for them to graze as they please.
Buster will be able to make a smooth transition into his forever home as he's house-trained. He's had no accidents in the house and is regularly let out during the day every 3-4 hours and sleeps through the night. He walks well on a leash, doesn't pull (I do use a harness) and when getting ready to head outside will sit to let me put on his leash.
As far as a crate, he does have one available for him if he'd like to use it, however we haven't used it often as someone has generally been home.
During the night, Buster sleeps in a dog bed near our bed (I'm certain he would love to be in our bed, however we don't have enough room).
Buster is a great package in a small body. A good mix of sweet, loving, attention seeking and loves to get outside and take a walk and then come back and take a nap.

To adopt the FIRST STEP is to complete an APPLICATION.
Adopters must be 24 years of age. We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and parts of MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
