Buster Beagle Lexington, MA

Buster is a sweet, gentle, loving retired hunting dog. He weighs 29 lbs. Although he's 12 years old he is very energetic and incredibly friendly. He is a scent hound through and through, is very good on the leash and doesn't pull....until he sees a critter!! Buster is dog and kid friendly. NO cats. He is a little jumpy because he wants to meet and hug everyone he comes across. Buster will sleep in the crate, but will wake you up early with his signature Beagle voice for walks. He has lived in an outdoor kennel his whole life, but is working hard on house training. Like most beagles, he is very food motivated.

Buster has moderate mitral valve disease and has recently been prescribed medication. He will need to be followed by a cardiologist to insure his medication remains effective to treat the disease. Buster is being fostered in Boston and is available for visits.

About our rescue
We are a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in foster homes throughout the area or in some cases in the south waiting to be transported north. We do not have a physical shelter. However, meet and greets are set up for approved applicants.

Once the phone interview is completed, we will check your vet reference as well as a personal reference and conduct a home visit.
