My name is Burley. Why? When I was found and turned in to a shelter in the western part of Virginia, I was full of burrs. Some of my AGPR friends were a little upset that such a handsome boy would be named because of his burrs. Several of them have started to call me "burly man"... More fitting since "burly" means "big and strong". Yup - that is ME!

I'm a BIG SWEETHEART! I'm content in my xxl crate in the Office - I get to see everyone coming and going and hear my praises. I love taking walks on a leash BUT hold on to that leash...if I see a squirrel, I want to chase it up a tree.

Let me answer the question I know you have. You probably saw the photo of my tail. It had several benign tumors on it and under all that fluff, there's not enough skin to allow for healing once the tumors were removed. All the ladies are loving my "bobbed" tail and can't wait to see my fur grow in. Rumors are that I'll be mistaken for a handsome polar bear!

I'm probably 5 or 6-ish years old...I don't remember. I love taking rides in the car and truly enjoy love and attention (can I lean into you a little bit longer?). Hoping to find my forever home soon so I can make room at the kennels for another deserving Pyr.
