Bugles Great Pyrenees & Labrador Retriever Mix Kiowa, OK

"Since the first day we were blessed with Bugles he has been energetic, playful, adventurous, fearless, and loving. He wasn't much of a cuddler in the beginning but has developed into one once his playing is done. He will come up to you and want to crawl up into your lap or lay on you and love to have his ears or full body stroked or be given belly rubs.
He loves crushed ice as a snack, usually comes running with joy when you call his name, wants to be where the excitement is and the rest of the family is...(afraid he might miss out on some of the action, we think!), and loves to play with his toys and siblings. He lives life with vitality and joy, even with the simple things.
Your house would be blessed to have such a loving, adventurous, family-oriented puppy within its walls and within your hearts.

We think a home with another dog would work well for Bugles...he loves to wrestle and play and will go from one dog to the other here wearing each one out before coming full circle. But when he is finished...he drops and sleeps hard. No kids here, but believe he would love to have some of his own and be in a semi-active home environment.

My story starts when I was beng given away in the Walmart parking lot...I know...that can be very scary as you have no idea who might scoop you up. My siblings and I were lucky enough to have a sweet lady take us all in and reach out to this rescue about us. It wasn't long after that my siblings and I joined this rescue's fluffy butt family.

I came into rescue when I was only six weeks old. I am now around 18 weeks old and weigh around 34 lbs now. I guess my family was not ready for me as a puppy puppy but I really hope they are ready for me now. As a very handsome pup who has already had some training and is ready for all sorts of adventures!

I am a very playful guy and love playing with other dogs. I do feel that I would be happiest in a home that has other dogs in it for me to play with. I am not being fostered around any cats, but met some of the vet clinic and was quite curious about them and eager to befriend them. I am also not being fostered around kids. I do think I would be fine with older kiddos and would love playing with them. However, I think I may be too much for the really young kids.

I have been to the vet, PetSmart, and Lowe's quite a few times and loved every minute of it. I do excellent on car rides, and will either look out the window, pass out in the backseat, or chew on a toy. I have been on a few walks and while I am still learning am starting to get this whole leash thing down. I definitely think I would enjoy going for walks and hiking with my new family. I am the kind of dog who never meets a stranger. I love meeting new people and other dogs, and am quite the talkative boy. I love being with my family and prefer to be wherever they are. I would love going to shops, on road trips, hiking, to the kiddo's sports games, etc. However, I would also like staying in with the family too. As long as I am part of the activities...I am happy!

I do chase after thrown toys, but only retrieve the toy sometimes right now. I love all kinds of toys...wishbones bones, nylabones, soft toys, squeaky toys, hard rubber toys, etc. I am unsure if I am a water dog or not. I can be a very playful guy during playtime but once my energy is out I tend to pass out and/or want cuddles.

I may be a candidate for apartment living if my new family were active and had another playful dog to help get my energy out. I am almost potty trained, but still have accidents here and there. I am kennel trained. I am definitely a talker. I will talk when I want something, during play, if I want a toy that another dog has, and when I want pets. However, I don't talk for no reason. I assure you...if I am talking...there is a reason ?

I am currently residing in Oklahoma City, OK. If you have fallen in love with me and are out of state, how about a road trip? I won't go on a long transport, so the only way I am relocating to another state...is if we are in that car together ?

My adoption fee is $300.
That will include two sets of puppy shots and wormings. I will also have had a bordetella. I will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.
