Buddy Jr. Labrador Retriever Indianapolis, IN

Hi guys, I’m Buddy, Jr. I am a 1.5 year old black lab mix and I weigh roughly 50 pounds. I sure am excited that I get to meet my new family soon…perhaps before Valentine’s Day?!

I’m a funny guy or at least I think so. My favorite trick is to knock over my water bowl and carry it around. Hm…let’s see what else I can tell you about myself… Oh, I really like treat balls, but let’s be honest, it’s all about the treats for me. I like a variety of toys especially squeaky and plush toys. And my go-to chew treats are antlers but I will also chew on other bones. Do you have a good throwing arm because I sure do like to fetch these large Kong squeaky tennis balls that my foster home have. Like most labs I’m not too picky when it comes to treats, heck, I even like carrots but I’m not 100% sold on peanut butter yet. I like to play with other dogs so I think it’d be cool to have a buddy to play with. I do get excited when I see cats but my foster mom doesn’t think I would hurt them but it would be best if I had a proper introduction to your cat if you have one. I am good with children but perhaps a household with older kiddos would be better just in case my playful puppy side comes out and I’m not watching where I’m running. An active family is high on my “perfect family” list because I am an active guy and need exercise to keep me from doing anything a young guy like me shouldn’t be doing (i.e., destructive chewing). I am a good leash walker when I have my “no-pull harness” on but a fenced-in yard would be great too.

Good news for my future family…I’m already potty-trained and crate-trained so I’m turn-leash ready-if you watch House Hunters like I do, you will find that funny! I’m the perfect guy for pretty much any family and my sparkling personality will win you over immediately.
