Buddy

Is this one sad little boy? So scared, so shy. Buddy was a stray and turned into a local shelter. He was one sad, scared little boy, when he came into rescue. We have no history on him other than his fearfulness and his sweetness. <br><br> Two vets have guessed Buddy's age at 8. We had a total bloodwork up on the boy and he is healthy. <br><br> Whoever adopts Buddy has to understand that he will take awhile to trust. When he first came in, he would not come anywhere near us. We kept a leash on him so we could drag him to whatever needed to be done (like going to the vet). Now he follows us around but, if we reach to pet him, he turns away. If we are sitting on the couch, he will jump up and sit by us. If we try to pet him, Buddy moves away. Every once in a while, Buddy lets us pet and massage him. You can tell that he wants someone to love him and to love back. This is going to take some time. <br><br> Buddy's new family cannot have small children. I think he would do best in a quiet, adult home with very patient adopters. I *KNOW* Buddy is going to be a love, I can see it in his eyes.
