Buddy #84 Yellow Labrador Retriever Mix Killingworth, CT

Hi! My name is Buddy #84 and I am a 2-3 year old yellow Labrador mix who weighs in at 65 lbs of sweetness. I love other dogs and should be with one as my soul mate but cats I haven't really been introduced to. My story starts by being found by this wonderful lady that probably saved my life, while I was scavenging for a meal by a river. I was very skinny and was sick with heartworm. I have since been treated for heartworm, and have gained some weight. I am a little timid in new situations but warm up quickly once I realize that I am surrounded by people who care about me. I am quickly learning to walk on a leash but I can use some help while trying to perfect this. Sometimes I get so excited that I pull a little so I would do best with a harness, at least that is what my foster mom says. I am pretty strong so kong and those hard toys are best for me so I can chew on them and not get in trouble. I love to play when anyone stomps their feet as I think its a game. I get along with other dogs and enjoy my kennel at night time. Can you please consider giving me a warm and loving home and give me a chance to prove myself? I have a great temperament and pretty much love everyone and everything. I just need someone that is willing to give me a little help to get me where I need to be. I would do best with older kids as I can be a little rambunctious.

ADOPTION FEES: $445 non-refundable adoption fee for all vet expenses (spay/neuter, shots, etc.) and transportation to ensure your lab gets to you in a safe, professional manner. All fees may be paid using PayPal, cashier's checks, or money orders. Labs4rescue does not accept personal checks for adoption fees. All adopters must pay their Labs4rescue adoption fee prior to the rescue shipping their dog.

Residents of Massachusetts or New Hampshire are required to pay an additional $125 fee, which defrays the cost of their state's mandatory 48 hour isolation and examination by a licensed veterinarian.
