Meet Buddy – A Sweet, Soulful Boxer Looking for a Soft Spot to Land. Buddy is an 8-year-old, sealed brindle Boxer with a heart of gold, a natural tail, and a mellow spirit. He’s neutered, has a fairly dry mouth (for those who prefer less drool!), and is currently being fostered in Portland, OR.

Buddy may be a bit older and wiser, but what he lacks in youthful chaos, he makes up for in warmth, loyalty, and low-key charm. This gentleman has excellent house manners, knows “sit” and “come,” and though he’s got a stubborn streak now and then, his deep desire to please his humans shines through.

He’s incredibly affectionate, prefers the bed to the couch and if you give him a big blanket, he’ll happily make himself a nest. He enjoys a quiet game of indoor fetch but doesn’t bother much with it outside. He’s trustworthy when left alone (at least with other dogs), doesn’t need a crate, and hardly ever barks—even when the rest of the pack gets worked up.

Buddy gets along great with other dogs, though he’s not a fan of intact males. He walks beautifully on a leash and rides calmly in the car. He may have a bit of hearing and vision loss, so when he’s out in the yard, he might not always catch your call unless he’s close. But inside, he knows the rhythm of the home and what’s expected of him.
