Buddy is a sweet, neutered male GSP estimated to be about 4 years old. He’s 42lbs and house and crate trained. He is a good natured guy who loves attention from his humans. He’ll be best in a fenced in yard with a fence that’s at least 4ft high.

He’s learning basic commands such as sit, stay, off and come. He’s highly food motivated, so using treats will help in training. He comes when his name is called, but still working getting his attention when he’s focused on squirrels. Buddy does well on a leash, but is strong and will pull in different directions so working with him to heel should help.

He loves to explore the house. Make sure food is picked up and put away, he’s working on not counter surfing. He definitely benefits from an exercise routine. Buddy has absolutely flourished since coming into foster care, gaining a lot of confidence. His previous owner put their home up for sale, moved and left Buddy behind. A realtor showing the house found him and took him home. This good samaritan called Rescue and turned him over to us.

Buddy can be shy at first but quickly warms up and comes out of his shell. We have been helping him with socializing and being more comfortable in new situations.
