Buddy Hound Mix Riverdale, NJ

Buddy is a great DOG. He was a wonderful friendly disposition with people (kids and adults) and enjoys other dogs both big and small. He plays nicely with toys and doesn’t show any signs of aggressive or possessive behavior around bones or toys. He takes treats nicely and has not yet had an accident in the house.
Buddy has lived most of his life up until now, outside. So when he came he didn’t know how to live politely in a house.
Buddy would just jump on people and furniture out of excitement and desire to be close to people (sit on top of them for cuddles). He would investigate all the yummy interesting things on tables and counters by jumping up on them.
He would bark for attention and when he is left alone in a gated room or crate. He didn’t know how to walk on a leash.
All of that is because buddy is just living life with a dog and had no previous exposure to house living.
He has been working on learning how to live with humans politely in a home and is smart and responsive to training.
Because of this buddy will need to go to a family who will love buddy and be patient with him when he makes mistakes and takes the time to teach him how to behave properly.
To help with this buddy will go home with 2 training sessions with the trainer that has been fostering him to help him have a successful transition into his new home.
Buddy is a sweet boy and will be an amazing addition to a family who is willing to bring them into their lives.
