SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS FOR BUDDAH:
1. another confident dog in the home.
2. fully fenced yard
3. a female adopter
4. no children in the home

7 month old male Terrier/Doxie/Chihuahua mix, about 9 pounds.
He is a shy guy that needs time feel comfortable with you. Once he feels comfortable with you, he is your little shadow. He seems to only be comfortable with women. Warming up to the men in the home has not happened, so we are looking for a "hen house" for him. He loves to snuggle and lick your face. He is a bit of a toy hoarder and will collect all the toys on his favorite bed and guard them from the other dogs. He will try to play fetch. He is very food motivated and his crate is his safe place. He has done great with other dogs. In fact, he needs another confident dog in the home to help guide him. He will go for leashed walks, but really needs the "draw" of another dog to help him be comfortable. He would do best in a home with a fenced yard, as walking in busy environments is a skill that still needs to mastered. He is curious about the cat and chickens at his foster home but so far he does not have the confidence to chase them. This boy will need lots of time and patience to blossom into the gem that he is!

All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. If you live within a five-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
