Meet Buck

Buck is a 4 year old hound mix about 35lb who is very affectionate and loves to be pet, especially belly rubs. Buck enjoys being around his foster family and will often follow them from room to room, settling down for an afternoon nap while they work. He walks pretty well on the leash and doesn't pull much, except for the occasional smell or animal. Buck is still working on his manners when meeting new people and dogs. He has enjoyed playing with other dogs off leash . Buck has gone on a few runs with his foster and has enjoyed them. He is very interested in deer and squirrels, and loves to sniff around the woods in the backyard. He has not been destructive, although he has tried to steal a sock on occasion, but he is pretty gentle with his toys and he seems to correct well. He knows "sit" and learned "lay down" quickly, his foster family is working working on other basic commands. Buck is a bit anxious, so we think being in a home with older children would be best. No cats, please.
