Bubba's Story
Meet Bubba

Bubba is a handsome black and brown PomChi born in October 2018. This sweet little guy may be shy at first, but underneath his nervous exterior is a loving companion who just needs patience and understanding to feel safe.

When Bubba first arrives in a new home, he will likely hide in his crate or a quiet small space like a bathroom. He may bark or growl out of fear, but he is harmless. The best thing you can do is give him space on the first day and allow him to adjust at his own pace. Once he begins to trust you, gentle chin scratches and calm reassurance help him come out of his shell. He especially loves having his ears and chin rubbed and quickly bonds with kind, patient people.

Bubba is a well-mannered little dog who does great for grooming and nail trims. His fluffy coat will need weekly combing and professional grooming every 6–8 weeks to keep him comfortable and looking his best.

He is housebroken when kept on a schedule and knows the phrase “Let’s go potty, outside!” Bubba is also accustomed to using a doggie door and will use pee pads if regular outdoor breaks are not available. His crate is a place of comfort and security for him, though he would much rather snuggle up close to his person at bedtime.

Like many little dogs, Bubba likes to alert his family when someone enters the home and will bark at visitors. He loves children of all ages and enjoys being near his people once he feels comfortable. He has not been exposed to cats, so his compatibility with them is unknown.

Bubba would do best with a calm, patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Once he settles in, you’ll discover a loyal, affectionate little companion who simply wants to feel safe and loved. ✨
