Bubba Mixed Breed Auburn, AL

Meet Bubba, he has a tough looking exterior but a squishy teddy bear interior. This big boy was surrendered into our care due to his owner just not wanting him anymore, but now he get an opportunity to find a loving home with someone who does appreciate him as a companion. Bubba's lack of vet care before coming to us has sadly caused this boy to become heartworm positive and he did experience the lack of socialization with other animals. Bubba would do best in a home without cats and without intact male dogs, but he does love hanging out and playing with the girls and neutered boy dogs in playgroups. He enjoys people company but would do best in a home without kids as they are a little too much for him. He has made great strides from an unsocialized boy to a loving companion seeking out his second chance at life.

From a volunteer: Bubba was so well behaved on his doggy date, making sure to stop and say hello to everyone on his walk. Though he may look tough, he was afraid of the Cam Newton statue, showing how much of a softie he is. He is also the BIGGEST cuddle bug. If you laid down, Bubba would be on your chest. I am shocked that he is still in the shelter, if I could adopt him, I would!! Best dog ever.
