Bubba Husky & Boxer Mix Bellingham, WA

Bubba is an energetic boy who would do best in an ACTIVE household where he will get to go on lots of adventures. He's more "party boy" than "couch potato" and wants to spend his days hiking, running, and chasing a ball. Once he's all tuckered out he'll probably want to snuggle up on the couch, but for the most part (from what we've seen) he's a dog on the go, go, GO! This diamond in the rough hasn't had much training and needs someone willing to put in the time/effort to get him up to speed. Bubba is friendly and affectionate and will likely make a wonderful companion once he's had a little training. He's a bit of an escape artist and should never be left unattended outside. If you'd like to meet Bubba to see if he's your perfect match, the first step is filling out an adoption application. Our staff will then review applications to ensure it's a good match before setting up an introduction.

-Personality: High energy, adventure buddy, goofy, exuberant

-Can Live with Kids: Dog-savvy kids ages 8+ (up to counselor's discretion)

-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history, but not recommended. I would likely be overwhelming for most cats.

-Can Live with Dogs: Yes! Bubba has tested well with a variety of different dogs at WHS and has been a dog playgroup rockstar! He loves to romp and play and would do best with another active, similar sized dog who can keep up with his energy.

-Can do Apartment Living: Not ideal- Bubba is a big boy with lots of energy to burn. A home with a yard would be best!

-Potty Trained: Yes

-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Yes, at least one private lesson
