Bryer American Bulldog & Boxer Mix Scranton, PA

Update from foster home (11-30-22) - Bryer is a very smart dog, super sweet, loves walks and he walks very nice on the leash. He loves to play, go on car rides, and sleep. He also loves cuddles, kisses, and to sleep in bed with you. He is crate trained, house trained, and he LOVES kids. He is overall a great dog just waiting to find his person. He is a handsome boxer/ hound mix. He hasn't met anyone he hasn't loved. He has the cutest under bite. However, he does not like cats OR sharing his toys with other dogs. So, he may do best as an only dog or in a home where the people know how to deal with this behavior. Now that he has recovered from his heart-worm treatment and has learned how to relax and be a dog in a home environment...this boy has a little bit more energy than we previously reported. He can be calm at times but he can also give a younger dog a run for it's money. He's a great dog in need of a great home. Please consider him.

Meet Bryer...... He is a lovely dark brindle and white, Bully mix of sorts. Bryer (gentle and sweet) was brought in as a stray from Darlington. He is the biggest baby and lazy as can be. He will be a couch potato for sure. He is very calm, loves belly rubs and his tickle spot is on his neck. He is estimated to be 2-3 years of age and he weighs about 60 lbs. And......he has an underbite!! ?????
Bryer is excellent with both people and dogs alike. However, NO CATS for this guy!! While we don't know his background as he arrived as a stray, it's clear in his prior life he learned some very pleasant pet skills. Bryer was the sending shelter's pick of the day for "Most likely to fill up your lap and keep you company." He sounds like an awesome boy!!
Bryer has already been neutered and he is up-to-date with vaccinations. He is also micro-chipped and he has recently been treated for heart-worm disease. He did very well with his treatment and he is well on the road to recovery. (Tested negative for HW disease on 8/16/23.) Bryer's suggested adoption donation is $325 in order to assist with the rescues ongoing and ever-increasing vet bills. HAPPY UPDATE ON 8/21/23 - AFTER 303 DAYS IN RESCUE.... OUR WONDERFUL BOY, BRYER, HAS FINALLY FOUND HIS "FOREVER" HOME!! HE WAS ADOPTED BY HIS SECOND FOSTER MOM, WHO REFUSED TO SEE HIM GOING TO A KENNEL. BRYER WILL NOW BE SPENDING THE "HAPPILY-EVER-AFTER' PART OF HIS LIFE IN PLAINS TOWNSHIP, PA WHERE HE IS LOVED BEYOND MEASURE.
