Born approximately March 2019 Brye is a female German Shepherd mix seeking forever home. Here is what her foster mom says about her: "She likes to give kisses & put her head on your lap but is also good with exploring & being on her own too. We have been kenneling at night & she does well. A tiny bit of whining (like 5 minutes) one night but after reassuring her she was quiet 7-8 hours. Her potty training is in progress (she just went to her foster home as of this posting). Brye is really smart!! Wasn’t responding to a sit command when we got her but after just a few short sessions with she is sitting and laying down immediately when asked. Treats & praise motivate her. She loves the backyard & is happy to explore on her own without fear of being left alone. A bit of barking here & there but not constant and often. She isn’t totally out of chewing phase so we had to move tempting things up higher. Does well chewing on appropriate toys & bones. She is good on the leash. No strong pulling and she listens well. My daughter ran a bit with her and they both liked that. I can see an active person taking her on runs/hikes. Brye is described by those who know her best as kind and brave - she lived in high kill out of state shelter and was driven to Mikey's for many hours in a car with other dogs that I'm sure could have been scary for most dogs, but she took it in stride. Brye would make a great addition to any active person or family!" A 6 foot secure fence is a must her in her forever home. Applications can be accessed at www.mikeyschance.com
All large and/or active dogs will require a full fenced (6ft) secure yard.
