Brutus - ADOPTED! Hound & Terrier Mix Stanton, KY

Brutus is the happiest boy. He's like the awesome big brother to his canine friends. A slow introduction with strangers is needed as he doesnt like surprises from those he doesnt know. Once you have shown him kindness he is all about having fun. He is a large mixed breed (Hound likely) boy at about 62 lbs and 2-3 years old. He was surrendered with 2 other dogs from his home. His previous home had 3 children but, they could no longer provide space and security for the pets. Brutus is great with other dogs and he is a well behaved, confident, playful boy. He is fully vetted, housebroken, and heartworm negative. He is sure to bring happiness to any family.

Families with young children must have fenced yards to prevent the accidental escape of pets.

We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help.

ADOPTION FEES APPLY- Dogs $150 - $175 Cats $90. (We are not set up for credit or debit payments.)

The shelter is open Monday thru Friday from 9 - 3 p.m. except Thursdays (closed). Saturday hours are by appt.

After hours appts can be arranged with advance notice and an approved application. We want to accommodate!

We are glad to answer any questions. Adoption rates include a spay or neuter, vaccines, & deworming. Surgeries are mandatory!
