Brutus is one beautiful boy with one unusual past.

Imagine being judged on your past relationships , your ex-bf , your former best friend or your behavior in a toxic relationship or environment.

That's what seems to be holding Brutus back.

We are always very transparent about a dogs past when we know their history , but please also take into consideration the animals behavior with us , in the shelter environment, with people who have been caring for him for an entire year.

He is not the same dog who was in a situation he never asked for .
He is as lovable as any dog and has had no issues in our care .

He was previously at our shelter back in 2020, due to family conflict.
He was returned to a family member who was going to provide care and keep him separate from the other situation but unfortunately that was not the case.

He is once again at the shelter, and we will go to extraordinary lengths to ensure he has the very best home because despite his past, he is a very good , deserving boy.

An animal who lived in a chaotic environment, who is then confined to a shelter would do best to decompress in a calm setting .

He is great with our staff, has lived with children and shows no signs of the stressful situation he came from .

We would like to keep it that way .
