What is C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue’s adoption process?

All animals are spayed / neutered before they are available for adoption. This helps reduce pet overpopulation in the Ozarks - the highest in the country. Each animal is current on vaccinations. Both dogs and cats must receive three total sets of vaccinations to prevent deadly animal diseases. All animals at C.A.R.E. are kept current on their vaccinations while in our care (All animals are vaccinated for Bordetella or "kennel cough", DA2PPV, CVK-puppies, DA2PPV, Lepto-adult dogs, FVRCP-C-kittens & adult cats). Dogs and cats above the age of 12 weeks old also receive their rabies shots and are sent home with a rabies certificate, collar, & rabies tag.  If a puppy or kitten is adopted before they have received the total three vaccinations, it is the responsibility of the adopter to provide them.      Each animal has been dewormed and treated for fleas. Worms are parasites that can cause serious damage to your pet. Brutus is good with kids under the age of 5 and kids over the age of 5.

Is Brutus good with other animals?

Brutus is good with other dogs. Brutus is not good with cats.

When can I meet Brutus?

As soon as the adoption organization has a chance to review your information, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.

When can I adopt Brutus?

Time to adopt varies, but typically adoption organizations require an official application prior to adoption. If you’re a match, they’ll reach out with next steps and timing.
