Bruno Mixed Breed Philadelphia, PA

If I were to use one word to describe Bruno, it would be "cuddler". This boy loves to be with his humans! He will sit/lay on the couch with me for hours if I let him....whether it be while watching TV, taking a nap or scrolling on the phone. He doesn't fidget much either...he will lay like a rock until it's time to get up.

Bruno also loves his playtime too. He can spend a considerable amount of time chewing his bones, squeaky toy, or treat ball, but once he is done with that, he will want some of your attention. He's pretty persistent when it comes to his playtime...and he will rarely let you off the hook, unless you simply just want to sit there rubbing his chest or belly. He will lay on his back with legs spread waiting for you to hit those desired spots. He loves the rubs! He can get a little mouthy and jumpy....but he's easily deterred by raising your knee to chest level when he jumps and he will stop and just "wooo" at you. At that point, he's telling you he;s ready to do some laps around the yard.

He has zero prey drive...he does not mind the squirrels (yes, you heard me right)! He's 100% housebroken....he will hold it in for 10+ hours until i get home. That's just awesome in itself. He's fantastic on the leash with zero reactivity to dogs, people, cars.

Bruno does have a tendency to counter surf, so be sure to put away all food if you plan on leaving him alone. He's quite intelligent and will remember where you kept the goodies and he;s learned how to open my pantry two fold doors. He loves his daily treats in the morning and absolutely tears up his dinner in a matter of seconds.

I was so proud of both Bruno and my resident dog (who can tend to be a little alpha around my house) when they experienced their first meet. I kept them both on their harnesses and they hit it off right from the start. Bruno got in his play bow stance and Bella understood that he posed no threat! (See shared videos).

Bruno tends to be a little leery of strangers when they walked in my house...but he will circle and sniff them while mildly barking, but he warms up quickly! He, in my opinion, does not have an aggressive bone in his body. Other than the occasional mouthiness (gentle mouth closing on the hand), he is a gem!
