Bruno Pit Bull Terrier Mix Kansas City, MO

Are you looking for a dog that is well past the puppy stage? Bruno is your guy! He is about 12 years old, but still has some pep in his step. He has been described as a sweet old guy. On walks he likes rolling in the grass and will happily take some belly rubs. Poor Bruno's owner passed away a few months ago, and some nice neighbors tried to take care of him while looking for a new home for him, but now he is at KC Pet Project to help him find that special somebody. He is understandably shy in this new, loud place. Give him a little time to warm up and you will see what a lovely dog he is. Bruno deserves to be back in a good home with a cozy place to snooze and have some lovin' from his people.
He recently got a break from the shelter on some Dog Day Outs. Here's what they had to say "Let me say this is one distinguished gentleman. He may be 12 but he's easy to get in and out of the car, loves going on walks, and even picked out a squeaky toy at the store and carried it around. He waited patiently for me outside while I went to order some food for us and chilled out on the patio while we munched. He wasn't interested in treats at first but the more time we spent together the faster he warmed up and eventually started eating from my hand SO GENTLY. He is a tad shy at first but again after warming up, he wanted to say hi to everyone! He loved playing with the squeaky toy I got him and even carried it around the store. Every person in there stopped to give him pets! After going for a walk around my neighborhood, hanging out in my backyard, eating lunch on the patio, and walking around the hardware store, this guy still had energy. He's going to make a wonderful best friend to a lucky home."

Bruno has been a little selective in dog play groups. Like all our adult dogs, Bruno needs to meet any potential canine companions before going home.
