Hi, My name is Bruiser and I'm from a shelter in Alabama.

Meet Bruiser - his name may be Bruiser but he's sweet as can be!
Bruiser is a typical playful, happy and loving pup with a perfectly moderate energy level. He loves to play with all toys, loves to snuggle and hang with his humans but also does well just playing with his toys alone on his dog bed. He has been very respectful of our resident dog and I think he would do great in a home with or without other dogs!
He has a few puppy behaviors we are working on! The first one is some puppy mouthing when he gets very excited but he is learning quick that we only chew on toys. Second is his leash walking. He gets very excited when he sees things on walks but with his no pull harness & some treats, we are making progress everyday here! He will need a home that is committed to working on these two behaviors so he can keep growing into the best boy out there.
He is very treat motivated and eager to please which has made training him lots of fun! He knows sit and is working on all of the other basics. He is crate trained (he may whine a bit in the beginning but settles in) and house trained as well. While he is unknown with cats and kids, I could see him doing really well with kids 8+ right away and younger ones as well as he keeps improving on his excited mouthiness.
Bruiser would make a sweet, snuggly addition to any home out there & can't wait to meet his forever family!
