"Hello! My name is Bruce Banner. I am very sweet and a little silly. I love to cuddle and give kisses! I am a little skittish and nervous living in the shelter. However, my confidence is building everyday thanks to the dedicated staff and volunteers who have been working with me. I am a laid back kind of guy and I love going for walks. Sniffaris are my favorite! That's where the humans just let me sniff everything around. I am getting better and better walking nice on a leash. I love to sit in the grass and watch people and all the activity going on around me. I can 'sit' and 'lay' very well, but I will still need more training. Training helps dogs like me build some more confidence. I would love another home that has another dog for me to play with as it really helps me trust new people and show you my silly personality. I would also like a home with a fenced yard and kids over the age of 8 years old. Younger kids can be a bit unpredictable with their movements and that makes me nervous. I am ready to find my family!"

Our snuggle bug is 6 months old, and his adoption fee is $300 which includes his neuter, microchip implant, fecal exam, and shots up to date. Bruce is on the smaller side weighing 50lbs. We don’t anticipate him getting large. Additionally, potential adopters are required to submit a video of their home including backyard. This can be done when submitting the application.

All dogs require a $100 training deposit. Once confirmation of the completion of a training class has been sent to the rescue, you will receive your deposit back in full.

As we are a rescue all of our adult dogs/puppies for adoption must be spayed or neutered. Although we make every attempt to have this done before finding their adoptive families, this is not always possible. Please speak with your adoption coordinator to see of this service has already been performed or they will explain to you if your new dog/puppy will need this service while in your care at no cost to you.

When emailing please include your phone number to help speed up the adoption process. Also, for the safety of our dogs we only adopt within a 2 hour radius of Joliet, Illinois to allow our volunteers to do home checks if necessary.
