Bruce is a huge lovebug. He loves to snuggle up and be petted. If there is nothing for him to do, he will simply find a comfortable spot to sleep in. He loves eating treats such as frozen licking mats that have been smeared with peanut butter and whipping cream or frozen Kong toys that have been filled with treats bits and chicken broth.

He is dog friendly. As far as cats, I’m not quite sure. Bruce walks perfectly on a leash. Unless he spots a cat (near or far), he does not pull. I’m not sure if he wants to play with them or chase them away. I’ve worked on this by carrying treats and rewarding him if he shifts his attention to me and not the cat. He is very food motivated so with patience and consistent training, Bruce has the potential to learn many great tricks.

Bruce is a gentle dog. He patiently waits while sitting down as I put his collar and leash on. He would do best with older kids (12 years and older). I suggest this as Bruce sometimes gets overwhelmed with happiness before settling down on the couch/bed next to you and rub his body against yours enthusiastically. For smaller children, this might come off as intimidating but he means well. He is a super chewer. I would supervise him with toys as he has broken a few and this can be a choking hazard. Overall, Bruce is an AMAZING dog. He is the perfect companion.
