Meet Bruce
Bruce! Where do we begin? Bruce was found slipping in and out of consciousness in 115 degree heat. He had a gash that needed immediate care on the top of his head, his ears were blooded and ripped apart, his nose was raw with open wounds and his body had signs of horror throughout. When Bruce was rushed to the Humane Society, his savior was told he would be put to sleep if they did not commit to taking him. At that time, Poverty's Pets heard about Bruce's dire situation and we committed to his medical care and his recovery. Obviously we had no idea how Bruce was towards humans and other animals but over time, as he slowly began to trust the kind hands and as his body healed, his beautiful, loving soul emerged. Bruce is a survivor and a lover. We have been so moved by his recovery and to see him feel happiness and joy. Bruce does tolerate other dogs but he is most happy being an only animal. He just craves human contact and does get upset having to share his people with other pets. Bruce needs a simple life. You see, x-rays confirmed his constant limp when he walks as severe
arthritis and elbow dysplasia. His walks need not be long but they are good for him. He will do best surrounded by tennis balls, a big cushy bed and people. Bruce is about 6 years old, is wonderful on walks, loves car rides and is the best couch potato in town. Bruce will make a wonderful companion and if you feel as though you can provide him a wonderful life, please take a moment to fill out an application: https://www.povertyspets.org/adoption-form. There is a $200 donation. Please allow up to 72 hours for response. Thank you for considering Bruce.
