Brownie is only about 1 - 1.5 years old, and was found barefoot & pregnant on the side of the road in Alvin, TX. Sounds awful, but God works in mysterious ways, and Brownie was exactly where she was supposed to be. Due to being in the right place at the right time, the right people were able to pick her up, and Miss Brownie was fortunate to safely deliver her puppies while Hurricane Beryl was in motion.

Fast forward to today, the puppies are now moved on, and now it is time for Brownie’s next adventure… A new home & family!

Miss Brownie is a nice medium sized dog, at about 27 lbs. She is both house-trained and crate-trained. She’s crated at bedtime and also when she’s home alone. At all other times she is free-range. This friendly girl can be a little shy at first, however, she loves everyone she meets! She is very dog-friendly (and cat-friendly too). We aren’t sure how she is around kids, only because she hasn’t had that exposure while in our care. We imagine she would do well though with anyone who treated her well and respected her space.

This girl is highly affectionate - very loving, and loves to give you kisses. She loves to sit next to you or at least very near. She is a gentle girl who is quiet, and also active, playful and smart. She loves her toys, and when she runs like the wind, she’s at an energy level of 10. This is when she is showcasing her zoomies, and she loves it most when you are out there with her, making weird, funny or different sounds she isn’t accustomed to hearing. This girl can be entertaining, pretty much open to anything fun, and is fairly adaptable.

Brownie has not had any formal training, but she knows SIT, and does well on the leash. She rides well in the car, and likes sitting up front next to you. She is patient while waiting for her food (unless of course, cheese puffs are part of the conversation). No storm anxiety, and maybe a little separation anxiety initially (until she realizes she is safe and loved).

Brownie is a great pup to have by your side. She will melt your heart and make you smile. However, she isn’t perfect, and we would love to match her with someone(s) willing to set her up for success. Right now, she enjoys tearing up her bed (or whatever she can get her mouth on), and also enjoys digging holes. With structured activity and supervision though these behaviors can be easily mitigated and managed.
