Meet Brownie

Have willpower Cassandra! You do not need another dog...you do not need another dog.....

Alright folks, here is the deal. Brownie is the most beautiful and sweetest girl around! She has a lovely chocolate coat and is always just so happy! All you want to do is give her a big ole hug and love on her! This girl is going to make someone an amazing family member! I have to admit that I am a bit jealous of the family that gets to adopt her!
-You can apply to adopt Brownie using the link below. However, we highly recommend reading her ENTIRE bio to find out more info about her and see if her personality would be a good fit with your family first.

Interested in what Brownie's foster has to say about her? I can help with that! The below text is from her foster mom.

"Brownie is such a sweet little girl. She loves to be close with her people whether that’s in bed, watching TV, or doing chores around the house she will be right there with them. She loves to play with her siblings both canine and human. She loves her toys and water and sometimes combines them. She can be found on occasion dunking her toys in the water bowl! She is a puppy with puppy teeth so she enjoys chewing on her toys and will occasionally find something that isn’t hers so her family should be sure to watch out for their things. She has a very sweet temperament and makes it easy to fall in love with her immediately."

Brownie had a rough start in life. She was born on a property where the owners didn't do much with her. As her litter grew, they started roaming and going to the neighbor's property. The neighbors did not appreciate that and threatened to shoot her and her siblings. The owner ended up reaching out for help in placing these guys. We ended up taking her and 4 of her siblings. That was all we had room for at the time. Not even a day later, she came down with parvo and her siblings followed suit.
It turns out that the other 6 puppies that were still on the property were also sick with Parvo. We had begged the owner to take the other puppies to the vet, and we would figure out things from there. They refused and three puppies ended up losing their life. Thankfully with the help of OAA and some amazing volunteers, we were able to get them off the property and to the vet. Once they recovered we welcomed the last three to our fluffy butt family. This rescue took a village, and we are so thankful to OAA for assisting with the puppies, to the amazing lady who alerted us to the pups in need, and to all our vets and fosters that helped nurse these guys back to health!

Brownie is a 4-month-old female Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix. She currently weighs about 30lbs. We are guessing that she will top out in the 60-70lb range.

??To Brownie's Future Family??
-----------------------------------------

? Brownie has been recovering from Parvo so she hasn't had much experience with the leash. She has been on a few car rides and did well. She loves meeting new people but may initially be a bit reserved. She has not been to any public outings yet. Brownie is all about giving hugs and lovings and will jump up on people sometimes.

? Brownie loves playing in the water! She doesn't seem to be interested in playing fetch, though. She does love playing with her toys.
-Brownie has not shown to have any issues with food aggression or resource guarding in her foster home.

?Brownie is working on her potty training. She is still young, so her new home should be puppy-proofed. Brownie does NOT like the kennel, and her new family needs to make alternate arrangements for her when leaving the house. Currently, she is baby-gated to a certain area of the home when her fosters are away and does great. At night, she likes to sleep in bed with her foster parents.

? We are unsure how Brownie would do in an apartment setting. Her new family would need to have a good exercise plan in place and be prepared to leash train her.

?Brownie is being fostered around other dogs, cats, and kids. She loves the other dogs and enjoys playing with them. She does well with the cat and loves kids.

?? Adopting Brownie ??

♥ ♥ Brownie loves people and her siblings!!!! She loves to snuggle, cuddle and sit in your lap. Her ideal home would be with another dog in the house and a family who is home quite a bit or who takes her with them. She is not a dog who likes to be home alone for much of the day. She loves her people.♥ ♥

Brownie is being fostered in Blanchard, OK. Her new family needs to be able to pick her up(even if they are out of state). No commercial transports and no shipping. Just a fun road trip with her and her new family! ?

Her adoption fee is $275. That includes two sets of puppy shots and wormings. She will also have had a bordetella. She will be micro-chipped, have a fecal done, be de-wormed, be spayed/neutered, and will be current on heart-worm and flea/tick prevention.
