Brownie Pekingese & Chihuahua Mix Winchendon, MA

Hi! My name is Brownie, and I’m a 14 month Pekinese/Chihuahua mix. I am a sweet and sassy girl who seems to love everything, toys, people, dogs, cats, ferrets!

Partially because I am a young dog, and partially because of my sassy side, I will need training and patience to work on my manners. I have a lot of energy, and need supervision so that I don't chew on the wrong things. I go to the door when I need to go out, but still have accidents here and there, so I need someone to keep reinforcing my potty training. I sleep in my crate overnight, and although I may whine when I first go in, I will listen when you tell me to go to sleep. I am not a huge cuddler, but I will sit right next to you on the couch if you let me! I walk nicely on a leash, like car rides and take treats gently from my people.

It's possible that I was abused in my former life. My leg is broken, and was too far healed by the time the shelter took me to fix it. Because of this, the bones aren't healed back together so there is a possibility that a bone could pop through the skin at some point. My future forever family should be aware of this, because if this becomes a problem, my little leg may need to be amputated. The vet says that taking fish oil and glucosamine/chondrointin will help to ward off arthritis in my leg later in life. I can use my legs just fine to run and play though! Because of my leg, and my sassiness, I would do best in an adult only home.

I am spayed, up to date on all of my shots, and ready for my forever home!
