Meet Brother

This is Brother. 9-year-old chocolate lab mix male. He came into our Powder River prison dog training program a few months ago after losing his owner. He is distinguished by his loving attitude towards his humans. Brother knew no commands and now mastered 14 commands, He is potty and crate trained. He is obviously intelligent and carries an attitude to learn and do well. He is good on a leash. Just needs breaks if it's a long walk. He is generally good with other dogs. Actually, leads shy rescue dogs when they are hesitant to walk and play. He is 84 pounds. Some arthritis in the left hip but wishes to be active daily. Healthy otherwise. Trainers described him as kind, loving, affectionate, loyal, protective, meaning he barks at an approaching stranger. But no aggression. His most favorite thing is laying around, hanging out with his person daily. He actually shows some separation anxiety, likely from the loss of his person after many years together. So being together means a lot to this homeless dog. He is current on vaccinations. And he is ready to enrich your life with his presence.
