To set up a meet and greet, please fill out a dog adoption application ASAP or if you have already submitted one with us, call/email to put your name in line. We will form a line like usual based on who has an active and approved application in. We will slowly go through our line to set up a private meet and greet for potential adopters to foster.

4 year old, female, Reservation mutt
Brookie was found on the Wind River Indian Reservation after just giving birth to a litter of puppies. Lucky’s Place in Star Valley welcomed her and all of her puppies into their program and kept them safe. All of her puppies got adopted and she was left at the shelter scared and overwhelmed. It is clear that the world has not been overly nice to her and she will need someone that is patient and willing to give her the time and space she will need to trust her surroundings. She has been in a foster home with all sorts of animals. She is very slowly gaining confidence but still scared by humans. She definitely thrives when another dog is around so they can show her the way and give her an outlet to let loose and play. This sweet girl would love a quiet home where she can bond to her people! She prefers little to no foot traffic in her home and will not be a dog that would enjoy social outings. It would be helpful if her adopter has experience with dogs that need help with their confidence.
Please note, Animal Adoption Center cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the rescue. We make every effort to ensure the dogs are healthy.
Please know that our intention is to insure long lasting committed homes for the animals at the AAC. If we feel that an animal and a potential owner are not a good fit we reserve the right to refuse adoption.
