Meet BROOKE TAYLOR-WINDHAM
NAME: Brooke Taylor-Windham
LITTER: She is part of the "Legally Blonde" litter
AGE/GENDER: Baby (born 11/17/2022), Female
BREED: Pit mix? Boxer mix? Hound mix? No one knows but Jesus. (MOST PUPPIES WE GET DO NOT HAVE PARENTS SO THE MIX IS UNKNOWN)
TEMPERAMENT: Playful and mischievous, can be mellow, loves to snuggle and be with you
HOUSE TRAINING: Doing great! Just needs a consistent schedule like most young dogs.
CRATE TRAINING: Good. She's crate trained. Although she will tell you that she much prefers your bed.
OTHER DOGS: Good! She will need continued socialization, like all puppies! She prefers dogs her size who are lower energy and not dominant. She's about the vibes. Definitely not a high energy dog park atmosphere.
CATS: Good. Curious. Continued socialization will be important!
CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older
ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00
HEALTH: Brooke is healthy! Prior to adoption, puppies will be altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Puppies are given vaccination boosters in our care; however, adoptive families will be responsible for the remaining vaccinations that puppies need. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs.
HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find her a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do!
NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Brooke is a puppy so she's playful and has a lot of puppy energy! She is super cute and fun, but a lot of work. Her forever family should be committed to lots of training - obedience, housetraining, and socialization. This will ensure that she grows into a confident, well behaved adult! Puppies' personalities are dependent on their environment, and the structure and training they are given, in addition to socialization. Their personalities continue to grow and be shaped by their new adoptive families. Puppy daycare and socialization classes or puppy kindergarten are highly recommended for their personal development. She will more than reward you for all your hard work with lots of love, loyalty, and laughs.
Brooke is such a well-mannered girl. She walks well on leash and has completed basic obedience lessons. She loves to be with her people moreso than other dogs. But she does get along with older and low-key dogs. Dominant dogs are definitely not her jam. Loves to cuddle, so if you want to talk a walkabout and then come back to Netflix and chill, she is game. She's a quiet girl and typically low key, but she will get te occasional zoomie and is a happy girl, with wiggly body and wagging tail. She's still growing into her personality.
All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs.
Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application and we will work toward approving you as an adopter with our rescue so that we can set a time for you to meet!
