Britney Pointer & Hound Mix New Orleans, LA

This derp is seriously as sweet as it gets.

Britney is only two years old, guessed to be a dalmation/hound mix, she is an ABSOLUTE STUNNER.
Britney absolutely loves making friends and does best with dogs who will play with her and keep her busy! She can be a bit of a diva so she would do best having a playmate who loves her as much as she loves them, haha!
Britney is very people friendly. As she settles into a home and bonds she can become protective, and from there then does best meeting people on a leash outside her home. At our facility she is great meeting volunteers on her leash and going for strolls. She is VERY smart and has worked with a trainer numerous times, eager to please and a very happy girl. Britney does love kids but in terms of a forever home she would do best without a lot of chaos and kids running around.
Britney loves to give kisses and is very affectionate. She walks amazing on a leash and the hound in her really comes out during her walks, she just wants to sniff everything! She also enjoys the baby pool and taking a dip in the water. The cherry on top all that is that she is a pretty great hugger if we say so ourselves! She thinks she’s a lap dog despite her size and is very smart. She knows sit and is kennel/house trained.

Britney is up to date on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. She has already completed her heartworm treatment and is ready for the next phase in her life, a forever home. She approximately 55 pounds and fully grown.

Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250


*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!
