Bright BONNIE from Baku! Boxer & Mastiff Mix Kingston , NY

Bonnie is a lovely 5 or 6 year old girl from Azerbaijan (former Soviet Union) looking for her loving home in America.

We rescued Bonnie from the streets of Baku (capital of Azerbaijan) - where dogs are tied up in backyards or dumped on the street. She was probably abandoned by a prior owner, who cropped her ears - a popular practice in this country to make dogs look like tough guard dogs. But Bonnie is a sweet and playful girl and ready to meet her forever family. We can only guess at her breed, and the way her ears were clipped it's hard to tell.

Bonnie is perfecting her leash skills to impress you, and is friendly to everyone she meets. She is very smart and will be easily trainable. On her walks, she’s eager to greet people with a soft, wiggly body. She loves attention and wants to be near her person as much as possible. She also loves dogs so would do well in a multiple dog household, or as a single girl meeting friends on the outside.

Bonnie is looking for a loving home where she can share her big heart every day. She’d love an active family to take her on adventures and long walks. (and swimming if possible!) If you have a yard, even better—she’d love to run around and play! Shelter workers describe her playful and active, but sweet and loving.

Bonnie is 85 lbs, vet checked, spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, with a passport to prove it. Vets in Azerbaijan guessed that her age if 5 to 6 1/2 years, but they often overestimate, so she could be a bit younger.
