Hello, My name is Briar
I'm a super sweet female hound mix who was born around 5/20/23. I was found in a horrible and filthy situation in an abandoned home with over 20 other dogs, left behind to fend for ourselves until The Artemis Project took us in and committed to help us find our forever homes. I'm now being fed properly and have a clean place to sleep until my forever family comes to pick me up. I'm current on my vaccines and I am being treated for heartworms on slow kill method by The Artemis Project, who will continue to provide the medications for the duration of my treatment even if you adopt me. I'm a wonderful dog who needs a family to love me the way I'll love them.
I'm so gentile with my foster family's 3-year-old and I get along with all of the pets there. They think I would make a wonderful family pet - can I be your family pet? I'll be wonderful, I promise.

Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue in Arkansas.
We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI.
Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue.
Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.

Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications.
The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport.
