Meet Brewster (Paws in Prison Participant)
Brewster is a fun, lovable, happy-go-lucky guy. He loves being an outside/inside dog! Brewster is 55 pounds and is a 4-year-old neutered male pit/boxer mix. This guy is so friendly and easy going. He LOVES ALL PEOPLE and all the attention he can get! He has been tested with a 10-year-old boy and he did great, so older kids would be fine. He would be good with all children but is a good sized dog and could accidentally knock a small child over. He does like females dogs, male dogs, not so much . He is crate trained and house trained! He LOVES---I mean REALLY LOVES his toys. He loves to carry them wherever he goes….SO cute! And of course he loves his treats, too. (And couch time!) Brewster is a good leash walker too. Brewster is HW negative and is current on all shots, microschipped, and on heartworm/flea/tick preventative. If you’re looking for a happy an playful guy- he’s your man!!!
Brewster is a graduate of the Paws in Prison program where he received obedience training. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents everything from his entering the facility, his daily training progress, and interactions with his trainers.
